YOU NEED SUPPORT, BUT LIFE JUST WON'T SLOW DOWN.

Between a hectic work schedule, travel, and family responsibilities, it's hard to find time for yourself. And when you do have time, sheer exhaustion makes in-person therapy feel impossible to maintain.

We hear you.

Our clients are go-getters, high achievers, and they carry a full load of life responsibilities. But we believe help should never be out of reach. If you want professional care, delivered in a convenient format, without compromising on quality of service…

We've got you.

Online counseling allows you to access the therapeutic support you need from the privacy and convenience of your own space.

WHAT IS VIRTUAL THERAPY?

Online therapy, teletherapy, virtual counseling… it's all the same thing, and it is professional mental health provided through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

Sessions are conducted privately with a therapist and follow the exact same structure and ethical standards as an in-person therapy session.

Online therapy is not self-help or coaching. Our virtual therapy services bring legitimate, depth-oriented psychotherapy directly to you, wherever you are, by addressing real mental health, relational, and/or addiction-related concerns.

IS ONLINE THERAPY RIGHT FOR ME?
  • Do you want access to specialized mental health care but don’t have time (or the option) to visit us at our office?
  • Do you have a demanding or unpredictable work schedule?
  • Do you travel frequently or work remotely?
  • Do you prefer the privacy of meeting from home?
  • Are you trying to balance therapy with other responsibilities?
  • Would you prefer to avoid the commute to our office?

If you can answer yes to any of the questions above and live in Minnesota, then chances are — yes. Our online counseling service may be ideal for you.

HOW ONLINE THERAPY WORKS

Virtual therapy sessions are scheduled exactly like in-person appointments. Online counseling sessions are structured, and we approach online counseling with the same grounded expertise and clinical clarity we bring to our in-office work.

You don't need to prepare anything. Simply show up, and we'll help you get to the source of whatever issue you're facing. Depending on your needs and reasons for seeking therapy, your session time may include:

  • Psychodynamic therapy — A depth-oriented approach to exploring subconscious patterns and attachment styles
  • Psychoeducation — Discovering the why behind the pattern
  • Emotional regulation and stress management — Staying grounded and solution focused
  • Recovery-focused support and relapse prevention
  • Communication and relationship skills-building
How to prepare for a successful virtual counseling session
  1. You need a completely private setting where you won't be interrupted.
  2. You need a reliable computer, tablet, or compatible smartphone. Bring a charger and ensure there is a nearby outlet.
  3. You need a strong, steady internet connection that supports video conferencing.

You need good lighting. Please no shadows, glares, or hiding in corners.

Additional tips for highest-possible impact
  • Settle in at least a few minutes early. Your session will always start right on time, so having even just a few minutes to ensure you're ready will help your body and mind relax. While you wait, take some deep breaths. This is your time, and we suggest you use the time to mentally check-in with yourself.
  • Bring water or a non-alcoholic beverage with you. Also, feel free to dress comfortably.
  • Eliminate interruptions, disruptions, and distractions. Please put your phone on silent and turn off the TV. This is dedicated time to focus on your mental health goals with professional support.

These simple tips are designed to support you, protect your time and space, and ensure you are fully equipped to get the most out of your investment.

DOES ONLINE THERAPY ACTUALLY WORK?

Research shows online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy — making it an excellent option for many of our clients.

All our services, including EMDR therapy and Chemical Health Assessments, are offered virtually.

The therapeutic relationship and the quality of services is way more important than location. With the right therapist, meaningful, real change can happen whether you're sitting in our office or connecting from a hotel room.
